Herb Crusted Fish Recipes
One of the easiest meals you can make is herb baked fish fillets. The preparation time and cooking time to make baked fish is minimal and the results are so tasty. You can use any type of fish and herbs to make a delicious meal.
Herbed Fish Recipe with Vegetables
Ingredients:
2 pieces of fish fillet (4 to 6 oz. each)
2 tablespoons sliced green onions
1 package of frozen broccoli, carrots and cauliflower (16 oz.)
½ teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon dried marjoram
½ teaspoon salt
¼ teaspoon pepper
1 tablespoon butter cut in pieces (option: use olive oil)
Lemon juice
Directions:
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Spray glass baking pan with nonstick spray. Wash fish and pat dry. Place fish in the pan. Top the fish with green onions and place frozen vegetables around fish. Sprinkle the butter bits (or oil), thyme, marjoram, salt and pepper over the top. Place aluminum foil or baking lid over pan and bake about 18 -20 minutes. Drizzle with lemon juice and serve. Recipe makes 2 servings.
Low Calorie Baked Herbed Fish Recipe
Ingredients:
2 pounds fish fillets
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon marjoram
1/3 teaspoon thyme
1/8 teaspoon pepper
Two bay leaves
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/2 cup of white wine or skim milk
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Wash fish, pat dry and place in dish.
Combine oil with garlic salt and herbs. Sprinkle over fish. Top with bay leaves and onions. Sprinkle with paprika. Pour wine or skim milk over all.
Bake uncovered for 20 to 30 minutes or until fish flakes easily with a fork. Recipe makes four servings.
Easy Herb Crusted Salmon Recipe
For people who like to cook by taste this recipe incorporates herbs that are sprinkled on according to your taste preferences.
Ingredients:
Salmon fillet
¼ teaspoon Dill weed
¼ teaspoon Rosemary
1 teaspoon olive oil
1/8 teaspoon Garlic salt (or garlic powder and salt)
Sprinkle of Ground black pepper to taste
Sprinkle of paprika to taste
Directions:
Spray baking pan or glass baking dish with nonstick spray. Wash fish and pat dry. Place fish in pan and drizzle olive oil on top. Sprinkle herbs depending on the taste you like. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for about 30 minutes until fish flakes easily with a fork.
